Hey everyone, just got the call from admin running the Celebrate WA comp and they said i have been placed into the Top 10 finalists out of 700 entries. Images go up for voting online next week and run for about 3 weeks.
The photograph with the most amount of votes wins the final prize which personally i don’t really like…
The finalist image is this one;

When the voting link comes out, i’ll post and please vote for me!!!
Thanks and enjoy

So i haven’t been that please with my previous shots of this rock so this last trip i was determined to get a decent one! So i set off again with my mate to sugarloaf on another stormy evening and just our luck, as soon as we got there, it started to rain!
After waiting about 15 minutes, i decided to set off anyway. Those of you who’ve shot there, i set off towards the left hand side and started climbing those rocks. The forecasted swell was about 4.5-5 metres so the water looked pretty mean.
After finding a good angle and waiting for the rain to stop, i decided to set up my gear. Since i was quite close to the water there was a lot of spray around so i had to be cautious with my gear. I’d take a photograph, then quickly cover the camera and lens with my rain coat so i wouldn’t get my stuff wet!
All in all i was quite impressed with this shot really showing how stormy the evening was. The wave and cloud action really invoke a sense of anger!!
Enjoy,

One stormy evening in dunsborough my mate and i headed down to Castle rock to see what we could get. That evening was really quite gloomy and i really feel i captured that feeling in this photo.
Again, i was trying some different techniques so please ANY comments would be much appreciated!

This is my first of a 3 image vertical stitch. I’ve seen a lot of these done before so decided to give it a try.

I really like this picture, again i was trying some new stuff. This evening i went down to my home beach, City beach and captured a storm. Now it wasn’t a really long exposure but i like how the water turned out, showing movement. I got some other pictures from the same evening, will put them up some other time.
Please tell me what you think!
Enjoy.

Okay so taking a break from my shots from the South west, here is one from Royal Perth Yacht club. Was a very calm, cold and early morning! I originally didn’t really like this snap due to how the water looks quite dead! But i grew to like it more as it is a really calm photo which is quite relaxing!
Let me know what you think;
Enjoy!
